My First Time Attending The Daytime Emmys

Hey Everyone,

As some of you may or may know not, I recently attended the 2022 Daytime Emmys for the very first time. I was blessed to not only attend but also be nominated in TWO categories. (Still in disbelief.) Our teams were nominated for Outstanding Daytime Special for Recipe For Change and Outstanding Informative Talk Show for Turning Tables with Robin Roberts on Disney+.

I know people always it’s an honor to even be nominated but truly it was an absolute honor. Each award was given out during two separate ceremonies. Therefore your girl had two nights of celebration. To our complete surprise, we won the Emmy during the second ceremony. I cannot believe that I was nominated twice and actually won one for the very first time being nominated. It is truly a blessing. This has been something I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember and to receive it so young, for a show I truly enjoyed working on…I cried like a baby. I started out as a freelance producer on Turning Tables and my work on that series resulted in me getting a full-time job with my company. Now I spend my days developing, producing, and creating television series and documentaries. A true dream job that I’ve spent 10 years working towards. This truly serves as a testament to what can happen when you put your head down, stay focused, and do the work.
